Why network engineers deserve better merch
Most tech merch is a stock font on a Gildan tee. People who keep the internet running deserve better — here's the standard we hold ourselves to.
Every engineer owns at least one tech shirt they never wear.
You know the one: a stock illustration, a joke that was funny in 2013, and a print that cracked after three washes. The bar for engineer merch has been on the floor for a decade, and the people keeping the internet running deserve better.
We started this store with three rules.
Rule 1: the joke has to land with people who actually do the work. “It’s Always DNS” is funny because you’ve lived it — the 3am page, the blame-free postmortem that somehow still circled back to DNS twice. If a design needs a footnote, it doesn’t ship.
Rule 2: the design has to be good enough to wear outside the house. Insider humor doesn’t mean ugly. We build every piece like it belongs on a desk setup you’d photograph — clean type, real composition, no clip art.
Rule 3: no dead stock, no shortcuts. Everything physical is printed on demand in the US, which means fresh ink on real products instead of a warehouse of guesses. Our reference sheets — like the Subnet & Ports Cheat Sheet poster — are designed to be useful, not just decorative.
That’s the standard. If you’ve ever explained BGP to a friend using a road network analogy, this store was built for you. Start with the mug — it’s the gateway drug.
